Secret Crush :(

I was standing next to him in a lonely beach at dusk. I kept my tears to myself. I don't remember how long i stood there like that...

It was just another dreamy day. My mind was filled with happiness that knew no bounds when i saw him coming towards me. My heart started beating fast. But all this happiness did not last long. My eyes twinkled brightly with real love, but my lips parted each other for a fake smile..I was able to feel the pain in my soul...
I was able to convey my best wishes to him through signed language, he understood that and said thank u in signed language again.

How else can i show him that i am happy on receiving his wedding invitation, since i am both deaf and dumb (but not soulless)!!!!I was able to hear the weeping of my heart and able to feel the smile in his heart!!!!
NOW GO BACK AND READ THE STORY AGAIN FROM THE BEGINNING....

SCIENCE FICTION IN TAMIL CINEMA

As years roll on, tamil flim industry is really making very good science fiction movies. Here let us take the mega-hit of the decade, ENDHIRAN and another science-fiction tamil flim "7 am arivu".
The dialogues, that Writer Sujatha has written for the movie endhiran was really awesome. I watched the movie thrice, only to listen to those dialogues again and again. I am a die-hard fan of sujatha and his works.
I was able to understand the technical words that were used in the dialogue of the hero (ofcourse, SUPER STAR RAJNIKANTH) and the villain.
This movie increased my involvement in the Artificial Intelligence paper!!!! :)) i scored 89% in AI. Ever since i was a kid, i always liked to watch science-fiction movies in english like TERMINATOR, AI, ET, MARS ATTACKS, INDEPENDENCE DAY etc.
My family is well educated, and i must thank the elders in my family for taking much strain and explaining to me the concepts in those movies.
As i have already discussed enough about the future and AI in one of my old posts, let me not discuss about it in detail now.
The second science fiction cum infotainment movie is "7 am arivu". the much hyped words are "Hypnotism" and "Bhodhi dharma". I watched this movie in a theatre in my town.I came to know many things which i had never heard of before.

GRE :)

I took GRE(Graduate Record Examination) on november-2-2011. In this post, i am writing my experience. After attending weekend classes for GRE in one of the institutes in chennai for nearly 2.5 months, i finally decided to appear for the exam in the first week of november.
My faculties for math and verbal taught very well, that i am very thankful to them. My math faculty was very friendly and he was available at any time to clarify our doubts. My verbal faculty was also too good to be forgotten. She encouraged me very well. This sudden idea to take gre mushroomed in my brain after my visit to scotland.
This was the first competitive exam i took after joining in college. The rules in the prometric test center @ nungambakkam chennai, were new to me. It was a well maintained, calm and clean place. Test takers came with their passports. Later, i came to know that passport is mandatory for the exam. I was not supposed to take my mobile, paper, waterbottle, pen etc. They provided pencil and scratch papers for the test-takers.
The only break time in which i am allowed to go out was during the 10 minutes break after awa, and three sections.
I was extremely thirsty, hungry and tired. I used the interval very effectively to refresh my brain. I ate some buiscuits and went to restroom. I am very good in math than in english. Luckily, i got the experimental section as quantitative reasoning. I was able to secure 304/340 in total in the revised gre.
148 in verbal and 156 in math!!! I discussed with some of my friends who took the exam in the month of november; all of them congratulated me for my score.
I took nearly 5 full gre tests before appearing for the final exam. I suggest the readers to take as many full length mock tests as possible before taking the main exam. This is very much advised for those who take computer-based test, as they need to develop their concentration power for nearly 3 long hours in a stretch. I would also suggest that test-takers should memorize as many gre words as possible. This will certainly help them to do reading comprehension well. My gre regime, as a whole extended from august till november, during which period, i prepared for the exam for atleast 2 hours a day.
All the best for the gre test-takers of the future!!!! :-)

FIRST KISS

The baby was brought to her grandma's house. It was a rainy day. The baby was just two days old. It laid still in the hands of her grandma, since it is a new born one, it is unable to distinguish day and night and slept most of the time.
The baby is given cow's milk and was brought up by her grandma and grandpa. When she was one year old, she said "mumma" for the first time. But her mum was not with her to listen to those first sweet words from her baby.
Immediately on hearing this, the baby's grandma called her daughter, who was still busy with her lawyer, fighting to get the divorce from her husband, who doubted her conduct and said that he was not the father of that baby.(though DNA results assured that he is the biological father).
There were reasons behind him, not accepting the baby as his biological daughter because, he expected more dowry from his father and mother in-laws.
The innocent girl who was born was given to her grandparents by her mother, to take care of her, till she gets justice from the court of law.
The girl was named by her grandparents as MONISHA. When monisha was 3 years old, she was sent to kindergarten like all other kids of her age.
Before entering into the kindergarten, monisha's world was fully occupied by her grandparents, who did not tell the girl, anything about her parents.
But after entering into the kindergarten and making few friends with other kids, monisha came to know that , other kids have what they call as "mum" and "dad", who came regularly to the kindergarten either to feed lunch or to take their child home.
One day monisha, could not control her excitement and asked her grandma, who was feeding her lunch "patti amma na enna? appa na enna?"
The old lady was excited when those words came out of the little girls curled mouth. She said "apparama solrean da chellam!!!! ippo nee indha oru vaya vangikuviyam, patti unakku ootuvaenam, seriya?"
"um seri"
The old lady immediately called her daughter that day and told her, that monisha asked the meaning of mum and dad that day, during the lunch break.
The poor and helpless mother, who saw her for the last time, before 2 years, cried silently when she was said about her daughter.
Years rolled.
Monisha was five years old, and it was her birthday, when she met a lady after school, who took monisha to her grandparents house.
On the way to home, Monisha asked "neengha yaaru?" the lady was overwhelmed by tears and two fat tear drops fell from her chin to the ground, on hearing her daughter's voice after 5 years.
She cried and hugged her daughter, she was unable to control herself. Words came out from her mouth interrupted by her sobbing "monisha naan dhan da unnoda amma".
Monisha was surprised and also excited at the same time. She asked "neengha dhan ennoda ammava? appo appa yaaru? ennoda friends elarukkum amma, appa nu  rendu paer irukkangha, ennakku amma mattum dhaana?"
Her mum was listening to her sweet voice, that she did not hear what she was asking. Her mum took monisha to her grandparents house. After bathing monisha, her mum gave her all the new dresses and chocolates that she had brought for her. She took her to a toys shop and bought all the things that she asked for. Monisha's mother stayed with her till that night.
Monisha grew highly fond of her mum, that she hugged her while sleeping. Monisha was very tired after shopping with her mother, that she slept the next moment when she was put in bed.
The  next day dawned, Monisha's mother woke her up. She bathed her, and took her to her school.
Outside the school, Monisha asked her mother to bend, and she kissed her mother on her cheek!!!!!!!!!!!!
and said "amma inikku neengha lunch eduthutu vareenghala?" Her mum was hugely surprised and she said " seri da moni". Her mother started weeping and monisha left for the class.
During lunch break, her grand ma came with the lunch, and when monisha asked about her mum, she replied, "silarukku panam mukkiyama theriyudhu, silarukku pasam mukkiyama theriyudhu, nee azhadhada chellam, amma unnoda adutha birthday ku nichayam varuvangha".

INTERNET ADDICTION

Internet addiction is becoming very common among teens today. Not only teens, in some rare cases even adults are getting addicted. Especially social networking sites like facebook are making things worse. It doesnot mean that i am not using internet at all. I agree with those who argue about the advantages of internet, which contains huge amount of data about all possible things from 10^-12 to 10^12. We can find so much of raw data ranging from minute atoms to large galaxies in the web. There are people who showcase their talents in the internet by creating a website for their own photography, blogs and paintings. By this method, they reach out to people far and wide.
Internet is regarded as a powerful media, in which any news can be spreaded even faster than a forest fire.
There are people who misuse the internet by posting porn videos and this encourages many pedophiles.
As every technology has got both positive side and negative side, internet also has positive and negative impacts on the society.
Crime rates increase in some countries, because of orkut. People should be aware of the dangers posed by sharing personal information in social networking sites with strangers.
PLEASE SEE THIS VIDEO WHICH HIGHLIGHTS BOTH THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE EFFECTS OF USING FACEBOOK.
I think this video explains the negative side of using the facebook to share data with strangers, with a little bit of humour. I now think that the title for this post should have been "FACEBOOK ADDICTION" instead of "internet addiction".
Some people are extremely addicted that they live with facebook in their lives, posting every incident that happens in their daily life. Some of my friends in facebook are highly addicted to it that i see them posting something everyday. They are addicted to facebook.
I hope this post will help someone, or change someone's mind, as not to post personal things in facebook.
The world is large and different types of people live in it, what may look good for one person may not suit another.
Likewise, people may post something that may really look funny to them, but it may hurt someone's feelings.
So, in short facebook and internet are powerful medias which can be used for good purposes or for bad purposes.
P.S- Whatever i have posted above is my personal view of the world of internet. Views and opinions may differ from people to people. Your valuable comments are most welcome. Thank u for ur patience.

PRECIOUS MOMENTS

this is the first day of my department's symposium. I created this video. Pointers 2k10.-A NATIONAL LEVEL TECHNICAL SYMPOSIUM. I participated in the quiz but did not get even third price. I felt it is better to do something than doing nothing. This video is dedicated to all my close one's. i love u all people.
In the maze called life, let us hope that we cross each other's path in the future. I wish all my near and dear one's in college a best of luck.

this photos are taken during the second day of the pointers 2k10, a national level technical symposium organised by the DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING IN MY COLLEGE.
i edited this video in picasa. Let this be a permanent memory of our college life.
THERE ARE TWO UNFORGETTABLE THINGS THAT HAPPENED DURING THE SYMPOSIUM.
1. I participated in the quiz and went till the last round but failed to secure the first three positions.
2. I got embarassed, when the overall symposium organiser chose me to talk a few words to our juniors and gave the mike to me. Still now i cant understand why he chose me.
Those are the most unforgettable and precious moments in my college. I was happy, surrounded by my friends. I was enjoying in the symposium. Two MCA students have come to my college's symposium from panimalar engineering college for paper presentation.
